Ukraine Crypto Donations Exceed $63 Million
In a strong sign of support for Ukraine amid Russia’s invasion of the country, the global crypto industry has donated over $63.25 million to date, with donations made in bitcoin (BTC), ethereum (ETH) and a number of other cryptos.
Blockchain ecosystem security company data slow mist reports that the largest share of crypto donations went to the Ukrainian government, with a total of $38.5 million.

In seeking donations from the cryptosphere, Ukrainian organizations also reach out to collectors of non-fungible tokens (NFTs), as evidenced by a recent successful initiative by Ukraine DAO. A total of 2,258 ETH, or approximately USD 6.4 million, was collection by supporters of Ukrainian flag NFT.
In one notable example, the DAO received nearly $1.4 million worth of crypto from a subscription-based social media platform, perhaps best known for its adult content.

Another non-profit charity crypto initiative for war-affected Ukrainians, UkrainianPoolencourages users to wager their funds and allows all wagering rewards to be received directly by the Ukrainian government.
“We call on the international crypto community to join forces in response to the tragic events,” the team behind the initiative said.
Meanwhile, in an effort to increase its support for Ukraine, Uniswap Laboratoriesthe entity behind the uniswap protocol (UNI), has integrated the “donate to Ukraine” feature that automatically exchanges one of its listed tokens to ETH and donates it to the people of the country, on its homepage.
The country’s digital transformation minister, Mykhailo Fedorov, also announced that the National Bank has opened an account for humanitarian aid transferred from Ukraine and abroad.
“The Ministry of Social Policy will use the collected funds to support the Ukrainian citizens who suffer the most from the war”, by providing food, water, shelter, clothing and other basic necessities, the bank said in its announcement.
