Overcapacity Halifax Humane Society Reduces Adoption Fees

The Halifax Humane Society of Daytona Beach is at overcapacity, so they’ve cut weekend adoption fees by 50%. With the shelter overcrowded and the start of kitten season, they needed to make extra room for new arrivals. So they reduced their adoption fees for the weekend. Scott Lope of the Halifax Humane Society said, “We have quite a few mixes, we have a young boxer mix, we have a couple of herder mixes, we also have dog mixes. We have a bit of everything.” There are 170 dogs, 91 cats, plus guinea pigs and rabbits – all looking for new homes.
