CARLINVILLE – Blackburn College has inducted its new honor society members.

Students were recognized for their outstanding achievement in three distinct academic fields: Alpha Psi Omega, the National Theater Society, Lambda Pi Eta, the National Communication Association’s Honor Society, and Psi Chi, the International Honor Society for Psychology. Students have also been inducted into Alpha Chi, which recognizes academic excellence across disciplines and requires students to be in the top ten percent of the junior and senior classes.

Students from west-central Illinois among the 24 inductees were:

  • Avery Dugan of Jacksonville, Lambda Pi Eta. Dugan was officially inducted into Lambda Pi Eta in a virtual ceremony last spring, but was recognized for that accomplishment at the in-person event this fall.
  • Blake Meyer from Greenfield, Lambda Pi Eta.
  • Jacksonville’s Mim Wali-Uddin, Alpha Psi Omega.
