Antonio Conte has confidently claimed that Tottenham are guaranteed to buy Dejan Kulusevski, with the Juventus forward technically still on loan.

Spurs signed the Sweden international in the January transfer window from Juventus, with the club’s current chief football officer having also signed Kulusevski during his time in Italy.

Tottenham have reportedly paid an £8.3m loan fee for the striker, with £2.5m to be paid this season and £5.8m for next season. There was also an obligation to buy Kulusevski in the deal if certain criteria were met, with a price set at £29.2 million (sky sports).

However, the Reported Evening Standard recently that if Spurs trigger the purchase early, they can snap up Kulusevski for just £24.9m this summer instead.

With the Swede registering three goals and eight assists in just 16 appearances for the Lilywhites (TransferMarkt), the decision to sign him permanently seems like a no-brainer for the North London outfit, which Conte appears to agree with.

When asked if Spurs would activate the permanent signing of Kulusevski, Conte said (Jonathan Calf): “He’s a 100% Tottenham player in every aspect, not officially but he’s a 100% Tottenham player.”

Spurs Web Notice:

This is both a no-brainer and an absolute theft. I don’t know why Kulusevski hasn’t been given minutes at Juventus, but I suspect he suits Conte’s current line-up and seems to be thriving in the fast-paced Premier League.
